On Tuesday, March 10, Macadamia Care held an Open Day at The Somerset Care Centre in Somerset West. It was a great opportunity for the residents of The Somerset Lifestyle and Retirement Village, and their families, to connect with the Macadamia Care team, learn more about our personalised care and well-being services, and see firsthand how we support residents every day. MacCare’s Care Director, Sr Heide Archer, and COO, Paul Lagerwey, were available to answer questions. Residents of The Somerset and their families enjoyed an informative and engaging event.
The morning consisted of:
- A presentation on MacCare’s Individualised People-Centered Care
- An overview of services offered at the Care Centre
- An open question-and-answer session
- A guided walk through The Somerset Care Centre
The Somerset Care Centre is a purpose-built facility in Somerset West, located within the prestigious estate, The Somerset Lifestyle and Retirement Village.
With the guidance of MacCare’s Care Director, Sr Heide Archer, and our dedicated care team, a guided walk through The Somerset Care Centre was informative, allowing the village residents and their families to see firsthand the services on offer.
We at Macadamia Care want to help make people’s lives easier and provide the help they need. We provide services in line with our clients’ needs and preferences, and do so in a way that is neither invasive nor regimented.
We have established Care Centres that offer a homely environment when home-based care is no longer viable. At our Care Centres, we take pride in helping our clients to feel comfortable in their surroundings, with their own special and meaningful possessions around them.
Alternatively, we can provide home-based care where our carers will fall in with established routines. We’ll always advise on what we believe is the best care solution. We’re banishing the isolation of older people and focusing on creating safe, healthy social environments, where
