According to a well-known airline, it would take you 51 hours to travel the earth’s circumference. This number could vary depending on a number of factors like the type of plane, the number of stops, and the place of departure.
Care Buddies in White River knows that our residents would not enjoy a 51-hour flight and decided to spread their love wings and organised an 80-minute around-the-world “We Care”-flight, departure from the MacCare White River Care Centre in Mpumalanga.
All the residents were handed a nice warm knee blanket, a beanie, and their plane tickets.
As you know, our residents are our number one priority and it is only fitting that qualified medical staff were on board, managed by Sr Estelle Gerber.
Everybody buckled up and our Captain – Issy, (Chairman of Care Buddies in White River) announced that we will be taking off shortly.
.
We flew from KMIA (Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport) to London; Europe (Germany & Italy), then the USA, over the North Pole to Switzerland; then back to White River in sunny South Africa! Food and drinks from across the globe were sampled – pure delight!
.
Leaving the airport, our residents had to present their tickets to receive some delicious caramel popcorn.
How about that for a flight experience?
